Tutankhamun, the “Boy King,” ruled Egypt during the 18th Dynasty from ages 9 to 19. His fame comes from the 1922 discovery of his nearly intact tomb by Howard Carter, filled with treasures like his gold burial mask. Though his reign was brief, the tomb’s discovery made him one of ancient Egypt’s most famous pharaohs.
